 Cancellation/Refund Policy

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL.
Since we spend so much time and energy on pre-placement, our work begins the minute you register. Behind the scenes a lot of effort goes into putting people together for a perfect blend and when one person cancels it throws everything off kilter. We and the other participants are depending on you to keep your commitment and attend the event. Our expenses for promotion and facilities are expended based on your commitments. Thank you for your understanding and support.

DATE CHANGE REQUEST.
Each participant selects three possible dates from our schedule of events. If you don't want to cancel, but you want to change your set of dates, that can be done (DEPENDANT ON SPACE AVAILABILITY) as long as it is done within five days of your registration, before we've done all the work to place you. If you want to change your date anytime before fifteen days in advance of the date of the event, see the RAIN CHECK section below. If you want to change your dates and your scheduled event date is fifteen days or less before the event, we cannot make the change. If you decide not to show up, see NO SHOW below. We apologize for any inconvenience.

NO SHOW.
Anyone who doesn't show up to a pre-assigned, pre-booked event will not receive any compensation or refund. Additionally, not showing up or showing up too late to participate indicates a grave lack of responsibility. Rather than standing up your date, you have stood up twelve or more mini-dates and left us short a partner. We try very hard to make certain everyone who registers has a fun and productive experience and NO SHOWS degrade our efforts. Anyone who doesn't show up, unless you call us the next day with an emergency excuse, is taken off our list and placed in our BANNED NO SHOW NO CONTACT black hole and will not be allowed to register again.

FULL REFUND.
If you goofed up and didn't realize that you picked three dates that are all impossible, you should cancel within five days of your registration (assuming your registration took place fifteen days or more before the event. If you cancel within that allotted time frame we will issue you a full refund, less a $5 processing fee. If your registration took place fifteen days or less before an event, we cannot make a refund because most of our work is done during pre-matching.

RAIN CHECKS.
If you need to cancel and re-schedule we will issue you a RAIN CHECK with a code which can be used to register for a future event, as long as the cancellation is made fifteen days prior to the date of the event. If our pre-selection process was done by a computer and we were merely accepting registrations online with no pre-processing we could afford to offer RAIN CHECKS more liberally, but working on a small profit margin and providing the valuable yet time consuming process of pre-matching, we cannot afford to have people cancel in the last few days before an event. RAIN CHECKS can be transferred to another person. RAIN CHECKS must be used within one year of issuance. 

NO REFUNDS NO RAIN CHECKS.
Any cancellations fifteen days or less before the date of a Rapid Romance Encounter does not qualify for a refund. No exceptions apply. Most of our work goes into pre-matching and organizing based on your commitment to attend. At fifteen days before an event everything is done for that event. A cancellation causes us to fall behind on our scheduling of future events as we have to go backwards to try to fill your space - and that is sometimes impossible! We apologize for any inconvenience.


NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Since our pre-placement is based on all your preferences, photo, etc. we cannot allow you to transfer your encounter to another person. That would really kink up our selection process. In the rare instance that the person you want to transfer it to is very similar to you in every one of our preferences and physically, we might consider a transfer. This would be rare indeed.

REOCCURRING CANCELLATIONS.
Up to two cancellations within our parameters is acceptable, however inconvenient for us. Anyone who continues to cancel over the two limit will not be invited back and will be placed on our BANNED list. The only way we can run this type of business which is dependant on dependable registrations is to ban those who lack the courtesy and etiquette of keeping commitments. CANCELLATION/DATE CHANGE PROCEDURE
1. Contact us as soon as possible.
2. In your email include your name, username, email address, the date and time of your assigned Rapid Romance Encounter.
3. We don't need a detailed explanation of why you are canceling.
4. Request a date change rather than canceling, if at all possible.
5. If your cancellation/date change request meets the regulations and datelines set above, your refund, date change or RAIN CHECK will be issued within 10 business days or less.
