Event Ideas
Check the following links for event and activity ideas. A singles
activity can be planned around any public event. For instance, if
you like boats you may wish to set up a pre-boat show breakfast at a
cafe near the show. It's free to list and free to find on
Singles in
Motion.com Everyone interested in boats can join you
at breakfast, meet other singles, go to the show together. This
didn't cost you a cent, only a few minutes of thought and action.
You would have gone out for breakfast and to the show anyway. At
least, this way you have others to walk around with, to share ideas
with and become friends with.
Even if you are just visiting a city,
you can plan and event to meet other singles! Everyone usually knows
about other events, activities and private parties, etc. If they
like you, they may turn you on to some other events with a whole new
group of single people to meet. So put on your thinking cap today.
Plan a place and date, time, age group (20 year span has best turn
out) cost, if any, and post
it here on
Singles in
Motion.com.
It's FREE!

--- Single Adult Conference ---
(41) Utah Valley's annual Single Adult Conference will be held
Wed-Sun,
Jun 17-25. It will include the following: spiritual messages,
workshops,
dances, concerts, sports (volleyball, softball, tennis, hiking),
service
projects, temple sessions, dance instruction, choir performance,
Sabbath
meetings, fireside, and mingles. You pay for as much as you want to
attend. This conference draws so many people that several buildings
are
required, including the large UVSC McKay Center. It does not come
cheap,
thus this conference costs a bit more than the other conferences
around
the country you may have attended. Every effort is made to hold the
cost
down. Registration runs from $0-82. So what do you get for $0?
You
could attend the temple, keynote speech on Thursday night, and
church
services on Sunday. If you want to attend other activities, it's
$15 for
the basic fee, plus separate fees for some of the additional events.
To register: All wards in the valley have been sent forms. Contact
your
single adult rep. If that's a mystery, contact a member of the
bishopric. Online registration is not available yet, but I expect
it
will be.
